The country air was clean most of the time - yet the manure wagon in the summer irritated my father, when that particular son did not want to get the dried manure, it took too long. He was diabetic. We knew the whole story, but my father was persistently reminding them it was harming our health...it was very infrequent that the manure would prematurely drop off the wagon after that....so he made progress...
So our place was a much better one than their living amongst a cow field.
