Dolly Parton has quite an amazing life - including both tragedies and accmplishments. I recently watched a movie she was in and there was a sorowful message undertone about how an abusive father can leave such emotional scars. I had a good father who gave 1000% for his family. So that part I could not relate to - yet the unexpectations of self-serving siblings hit me right between the eyes. So I think we can all find ourselves in Dolly's diversified expressions of entertainment and what has grown into philanthropy.

Dolly's zeal makes you feel

As our thirsty souls drink

We realize soon the cure

Is about being sure of your intent 

It is about facing the mean to meant

Which came and went - sure

You feel some pain, you feel some gain

And then, you realize life is not a folly

When Dolly's influence feeds some needs


 You're  not blind to growth, you grasp

For hope, and know these steps are yours

And you are blessed for our Creator

Created for a path partly unknown

Yet joy abounds when you've grown

When you stay in motion

When you see the ocean

When ....finish later

And keep the Notion that

Life is a Mystery because

Our notions are limited like a fence

And we can sing, dance and sense

Our joyful noise will suppress silence

And round out harmony reaching our roots

Which is the Truth that Dolly claims

When fame she has earned

Has not caught up with what she's learned

Which simply is

"The key to life is to be me."

The sea of life teaches
